SSA3000X — Bench Spectrum Analyzer, 9 kHz to 3.2 GHz
Versatile bench spectrum analyzer from 9 kHz to 2.1/3.2 GHz, with -161 dBm/Hz displayed average noise level, < -98 dBc/Hz phase noise, 1 Hz minimum RBW, standard tracking generator, and optional EMI, advanced measurement and reflection/VSWR functions.
| Model | Frequency Range | RBW | DANL | Phase Noise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SSA3021X | 9 kHz – 2.1 GHz | 1 Hz – 1 MHz | −161 dBm/Hz typ. | < −98 dBc/Hz @ 1 GHz, 10 kHz offset typ. |
| SSA3032X | 9 kHz – 3.2 GHz | 1 Hz – 1 MHz | −161 dBm/Hz typ. | < −98 dBc/Hz @ 1 GHz, 10 kHz offset typ. |
Key Features
All-digital IF architecture
The SSA3000X platform uses all-digital IF processing for stable spectrum measurements, reliable automatic measurements and repeatable swept analysis in R&D, education, maintenance and production benches.
−161 dBm/Hz DANL typ.
The typical displayed average noise level helps resolve weak spurious emissions, harmonics and low-level RF signals when using narrow RBW settings and the built-in preamplifier.
1 Hz minimum RBW
RBW from 1 Hz to 1 MHz in 1-3-10 sequence supports narrowband signal separation, close-in spur checks and low-level spectral measurements.
Standard tracking generator
The tracking generator is included on the current SIGLENT EU listing, making the instrument useful for scalar filter, amplifier and cable response measurements.
Reflection/VSWR option
Reflection, VSWR and return-loss measurements are available with the relevant option and external return-loss bridge. This has been described as a reflection/VSWR workflow rather than a full two-port network-analyzer product.
EMI and advanced measurement options
Optional EMI pre-compliance and advanced measurement functions support quasi-peak/average detector workflows, ACPR, channel power, occupied bandwidth and spectrum monitoring.

Applications
Pre-compliance Screening
Use optional EMI functions, limit lines and quasi-peak/average detector workflows to screen products before formal EMC lab submission.
Wireless Transmitter Characterization
Measure output power, occupied bandwidth, harmonics and spurious emissions for 2.4 GHz wireless modules and sub-3 GHz RF products.
University RF Lab Analyzer
A practical bench analyzer for spectrum, modulation, filter-response and signal-source training without moving directly to high-cost microwave instruments.
Scalar Response Measurement
Use the standard tracking generator for transmission response checks on filters, cables, amplifiers and simple RF networks.
Interference and Service Work
Check unknown carriers, spurs and RF interference during service and maintenance of radios, IoT nodes and industrial wireless equipment.
Automated RF QC
Use remote-control workflows for repeatable RF module checks including power, harmonics, OBW and simple pass/fail spectrum limits.
